Membership

We are a small and welcoming club, and we are always keen to have new members. Members are important to us and, as a club, we invest considerably in the personal development of our members as photographers.

The cost of membership for the 2022-23 year (September to September) is £60.00 which can be paid in two instalments of £30.00.

For this, members receive a whole range of benefits inclusive of the following:

Club Meetings

Participate in a varied programme of club room events in the company of our members and external speakers and judges.

Online Meetings

Join selected events on-line via Zoom, together with members and external speakers and judges.

Field trips

Have access to a number of field-based events to interesting photographic locations or to places where training can be provided.

Training / Mentoring

Learn casually from other members or benefit from the more formal training that we provide.

Equipment loan

Be able to loan the club’s equipment so that you can try out different techniques or genres of photography.

Web site participation and resources

Have access to member only content, your own gallery of images, newsletters and have the ability to comment on what you see.

Club competitions

Prepare your prints and enter them into our annual series of internal competitions. Learn and benefit from constructive critique of your work.

External competitions

Have the opportunity for your work to be selected to represent the club at external competitions inclusive of ‘battles’ with other clubs and region-based competitions in Lancashire and Cheshire.

Annual exhibition(s)

Have the opportunity for your work to be selected to represent the club at our annual exhibitions; currently our main exhibition is at Towneley Hall.

Social gatherings

Join us at our informal get togethers where you will be made welcome.

Annual dinner

You and your partner may attend our annual dinner where there is much banter and trophy’s are awarded to our competition winners.

Social media participation and resources

Participate fully in our social media site (on Facebook) where you can post, comment and seek critique of your work. Access news and other resources made available in this way.

A pro-rata payment system is implemented for people who join the club part way through the year.

On application, the PADPS Committee may implement a reduced membership fee for persons on income support, for students, for joint or family memberships, or for members who elect to have a restricted participation in the club.

All members must provide their correct name, address, email, and telephone numbers, and pay their membership fees promptly on request.
